Practice practice practice

That’s the punch line for the old joke about how to get to Carnegie Hall. We all know that musicians and actors and athletes must practice, but most of us harbor a suspicion that maybe writing is different. Maybe writing just comes naturally to some people. 

David Brooks at the NY Times wrote a column today that dispels this notion. It’s not talent so much as perseverance that makes the difference between success and failure. Thanks for your perseverance this semester.
